Space Elements has acquired a Meade LX200-ACF Catadioptric telescope system. The optical tube measures at 255MM (10″) and features a 2500mm Focal Length (f/10 Focal Ratio). The telescope mount is a motorized Alt-Az configruation with a GPS Receiver. Though this system is not necessarily classified as easily portable, Space Elements will utilize this as a mobile observatory system for public engagement in areas with dark skies (e.g. National Parks, etc.).
